About 10% of the water will be sucked out of Lake Elsinore each night and pumped into a new 100 acre reservoir abut 1000 feet above the lake. During the daytime, the reservoir will be flushed back into the lake to generate electricity during hours of peak demand. The electricity will be sent down to San Diego over massive high voltage POWER-LINES that will cut a 30-mile scar through the Cleveland National Forest.
So, what’s wrong in the picture? The power plant won’t have smoke stacks because it uses hydroelectric power. But the other items, numbered 1 thru 9, present serious problems, risks, and hazards to our community.
