The LEAPS project and its transmission lines have a pecking-order quality to them. The project has been consistently supported by EVMWD directors from districts 1, 2, 4, yet the LEAPS plant will be situated in district 3 and the tranmission lines will impact the views from district 5. But it should also be noted that the impacts will affect our neighbors. Here is a simulation of how the transmission lines may appear from a backyard in la Cresta.
This simulation is based on the staff alternative route Below is a composite of the route relased by FERC last October and a road map. The transmission line is used as the boundary between the two maps.
