I'll go out on a limb here and say that my visual simulations of the transmission lines are more realistic than those published in the FEIS Appendix D. To my advantage, I have the following:
1) I've built the towers within a 3-D modelling software program and placed the towers onto a realistic topology of our region that was created from satellite images using GoogleEarth.
2) I take my photos using a 50mm focal length lens, which closely approximates what the human eye perceives,
3) I photograph on days of typical seeing conditions, and
4) I place my towers according to the Staff Alternative route published in the FEIS.

Using these techniques, I created this simulation of how the towers will appear from the Lake Elsinore boat ramp (actually, I'm about 200 yards south of the ramp):

Note that in my simulation, you can plainly see existing trails. You can expect to see similar scarring at the base of each tower and possibly leading up to each tower. (I'll add these features when I can). Compare the above to the following from the FEIS, Appendix D (the towers in this appear under the word "After". Look carefully:

I'll be creating more of these simulations from various locations throughout our community.
